Union Band

Men wear the band from the right shoulder to the left hip, under the waistcoat. You fasten the band with safety pins to the suspenders or to the shirt, which means that you only need to buy about 30-60 centimeters. An alternative is to buy a whole band, i.e. 1.5 meters that goes around the entire upper body. It will be more expensive, but you will avoid the hassle of safety pins when you have to wear formal attire. Then you fold the band at the left hip fasten with some kind of weight, for example a five-crore, so that the band stays straight and nice.

Ladies wear that ribbon in a ribbon bow at the shoulder. Ladies attach medals to the left shoulder strap or just below. For ladies, it is enough to buy 30 cm when the ribbon rosette is to be folded.

Blekinge student union has a union band. This is an order ribbon that is mainly to be worn at fine sittings, i.e. sittings where the dress code is festive attire. The ribbon is 35 mm wide, with the colors blue-burgundy-blue. The blue stripes are 5mm wide and are on either side of the 25mm wide burgundy stripe.
